WHY TECHNIQUE?
LEARN TO RUN
Mastering a technique is at the cornerstone of every sport including running. It results in efficiency and heightens enjoyment. How many more years do you plan on running? It therefore makes sense to work on the technique now to get… the best out of your efforts for time to come. Regardless of the distance or event you’re training for proper technique will certainly help you achieve it.
ACCELERATE PERFORMANCE
Become a stronger and more efficient runner and perform at any distance or event that involves running be it Obstacle Course Racing, Marathons, Trails, Track, Football or Baseball, etc.
Using correct action results in performance improvements and greater opportunities. Always aim to get the most benefits from training with the least amount of effort.
MINIMISE INJURY
Most running injuries tend to be from the repetitive nature of the activity. Injuries can creep up and take some time to get rid of. They may result from footwear, lack of or too much flexibility, overtraining, technique and others.…
We try to reduce the likelihood of injury where possible by changing shoes or cutting back or moderating efforts. One element however that is most overlooked is technique. Whereas in most other sports technique is usually the first element reviewed. Correct technique saves on the wear and tear of the body so you can enjoy the art of running for time to come and aren’t side-lined in doing so.
COACHING
VIRTUAL
Virtual coaching is a great tool that allows flexibility for those with tight time and location restraints. Easy to set up and with regular sessions, you get the same benefits as in person coaching but in the comfort of your… chosen surroundings. We cover all content and your technique is analysed via regular video submissions.
GROUP
These condensed sessions have a group focus and are packed with useful info you can take away and work on later. You and the group get your techniques analysed… throughout the session. Sessions are both theory and practical based so come prepared. You can arrange your own group if you have 2 or more and of course this is the most cost-effective option.
1 ON 1
It’s all about you. You can’t beat 1 on 1 in-person sessions if you want to get the results quickly with minimal deviation and maximum motivation. These intense sessions are the quickest way… to master your technique and get all the theory onboard.
TESTIMONIALS

Growing up as an inactive child, I only got into fitness a few years ago and started running in January this year when I decide to compete in a Spartan Race. With an all or nothing personality, I soon found myself hitting 30 – 40km a week, without really considering the impact it would have on my body. I had no idea that there was a technique to running, I just put on my shoes and ran.
Within three months I had an injury and couldn’t run 500m without excruciating pain in my knee. I saw a physio for months but didn’t see any progress. I met with Aschton and he mentioned that he might be able to help me. We spent a 2 hour session looking at my running technique (which was dire!) and during this time he was patient and knowledgeable, taking the time to answer my questions, providing examples and filming my running so I could understand specifically what I needed to work on. He provided me with drills and mobility work to do in my own time and this was invaluable. If nothing more, I strongly believe that anyone who runs would benefit greatly from having this one session to understand their own running dynamics. There is so much you can learn about your own running that will make you a faster, more efficient runner, while reducing your risk of injury – surely that’s something every runner wants?
I chose to work with Aschton over a few months to really develop my knowledge and confidence and I am now at a point where my new running feels natural. There were moments where I felt that I would never get to that point but Aschton was the right balance of honest and understanding, providing explanations that were backed up with evidence for my endless questions.
The pain in my knee has improved steadily as my new technique has become more natural. I have shortened my stride and my cadence has improved greatly (I now have an average cadence of 175-185). I recently placed 2nd in a 21km Spartan race (December 2018) with no pain at all, something I could have only dreamed of a few months ago. My running is also far more efficient, with my race pace for the Spartan Sprint decreasing from 20:50/mile in March to 13:05 in December, a direct result of the application of the skills that Aschton taught me.
Whether you’re a fellow spartan racer; someone who has been running all their life; or someone who has their first pair of running shoes but doesn’t quite know where to begin, I highly recommend spending some time with Aschton. You can’t put a price on pain free running and I guarantee you’ll walk away with a piece of advice that will change your running forever! Read More

I did the group session and it was a really enjoyable session. Just picked up running and glad I did this early in my running journey to avoid possible injuries that I hear so much of. Some new exercises I’ve not seen before, which was a nice addition. Definitely applicable and easy to apply. Thanks for the session.

Hi Coach, I’ve been running for a long time and have been to many trainings but this was different. It was an eye opener. I’ve had injuries in the past but the focus on this technique looks like it may help prevent these in the future. It does require more energy at first as with any new skill I guess but my pace is already quicker. I did the group session and this encouraged us to analyse others, which will be beneficial later for me as I know what to work on. If you are a beginner or a pro you will get value from this session. I recommended a few friends and they had nothing but positive feedback too. Recommended.
